DESCRIPTION OF ESTATE
The F.lli Bellini winery is situated in the center of the town of Rùfina, in a small building dated 1940, built on the heart of an old farmhouse, some parts of which have been preseved. The Chianti Rùfina wine comes from the vineyards of the "Fattoria Monte" and "Fattoria Il Pozzo", integrated with a small quantity of grapes bought locally. The building of the "Fattoria Monte" is a 17th century villa, built on the site of an existing XIIth century structure. The farms Il Pozzo with their typical Tuscan farmhouses are situated at the heart of the Chianti Rùfina area among a hilly landscape where fruit trees and olives alternate with vineyards.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE AND ITS PEOPLE
The Bellini family belongs to an old generation of landowners from Rùfina. The winery was established in the second half of the nineteenth century by the present owners' great-great-grandparents, who started marketing the wines produced in their farms in Rùfina, together with other agricultural produce and the typical Tuscan sausages. During the 50s Carlo Bellini remarkably boosted the Winery by taking part in specialised fairs and setting up through a chain of sales representatives and importers a trade network which has promoted the Bellini wines all over the world. Today the new generation makes its own contribution to the Winery: the nephew Maurizio Masi and the daughters Alessandra and Maria Letizia have extended and modernised the Winery by turning their attention to the new markets, such as the Far East, and strengthening those markets, such as the European and the American ones, where the Winery was already present. The Bellini wines are produced and bottled according to the most up-to-date methods whilst respecting the age-old Tuscan tradition. Moreover, in 1999 they have obtained the UNI EN ISO 9002 certificate for the Quality Control, thus guaranteeing a better and better product and the right service.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE OWNER
An Industrial Chemistry graduate, Maurizio Masi ran the winery alongside his uncle. Subsequently, together with his cousins Alessandra and Maria Letizia, both with a degree in pharmacy, he has continued to develop the company. WINES PRODUCED - Chianti Rùfina d.o.c.g., Chianti d.o.c.g., white, red and rosé Tuscan d.o.c. wines and table wines.
