DESCRIPTION OF ESTATE
Fattoria I Busini is partly located in the municipality of Rùfina and partly in that of Londa. It is comprised of 6.32 ha of specialized vineyards, 2.13 ha of fruit orchards, and 11.36 ha of olive-groves, pasture and woods. The altitude varies between 350 m and 520 m above sea level on the slope which panoramically faces the Sieve Valley. Fattoria I Busini contains two rain building complexes: the seventeenth century farm which also houses the cellars, and the Villa which was built before 1420 on the site of a now non-exixtent Medieval tower. Tourist oriented infrastructures (tennis courts, swimming pool, restaurant, solarium, bowling-green and Jacuzzi) have been realized in and around the villa for the apartments and rooms provided for farm holidays.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE AND ITS PEOPLE
In the XVth century, the farm belonged to the Busini family, bankers to the Florentine aristocracy, who gave it their name. The farm was then given to one of the female members of the family as her dowry when she married into the Medici family. The farm subsequently passed to the Peruzzi family through marriage and succession. The coats-of arms sculpted in sandstone on the fireplaces and architraves decorating the villa rifer to this noble family.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE OWNER
Marcello Nicolodi has a degree in Biological Sciences. After a brief academic period, he turned to freelance work and occupied the position of President of the National Order of Biologists until 1985. Since 1972, he has also been involved in running the farm, developing farm holiday activities with apartments and rooms for holidaymakers which are also served by a restaurant in the farm. Since 1994, Marcello Nicolodi's son, LucioMaria, has run the farm together with his father.
