DESCRIPTION OF THE ESTATE
The Doccia estate, together with Tigliano, Pigneto and Tenuta I Casali belong to Agricola del Chianti Srl, owned by the Sardelli family. The estate is situated in a beautiful hilly area within the Comune of Pontassieve, and its exposure permits agricultural production of an excellent quality. In addition to the vineyards, on the estate it is possible to admire over 100 ha of olive-groves, around 35 ha of land given over to the cultivation of crops, an oil-mill, which also operates for external users, a vin santo (fortified wine) room, cellars and stables. The estate also owns land which is used as a hunting reserve, where it is possible to find pheasants, hares, partridges, gray partridges, wild boar, roe-deer and fallow-deer. A rarity which can be found on the estate is the famous "Paesina" stone, after which a number of wines have been named. This stone is greatly esteemed by collectors and specialized craftsmen.

Comm. Umberto Sardelli, is an expert in the vegetable oil sector, a professional taster for the O.N.A.O.O, a National Member of "Federolio" and an Adviser for the "Oil and Fat Experimental Station" Government Body. Thanks to his great passion for the products of our land, his oil-producing companies have obtained prestigious results on a national as well as an international level. In recent years, following the purchase of the "Fattoria di Doccia", this passion has been directed towards the viti-vinicultural sector, where he has been assisted by well-known professionals in order to obtain evermore prestigious results.
