DESCRIPTION OF ESTATE
The estate is situated on a high hill to the right of the river Sieve, the farm has olive-groves, vineyards, crop cultivation, orchards and a large amount of woodland. The farm building is an imposing structure with a harmonious shape, the oldest part of which dates back to the Renaissance whilst the regularizing intervention of a neo-classic restoration is evident. The cellars are located underneath the villa, the vat room is divided into two large rooms covered by vaults supported by pillars. The wood ageing cellars are situated in smaller areas connected by narrow winding passages. Grignano mills its olives in its own oil-mill situated inside the farm. The oil storage room contains, amongst other things, eighteenth and nineteenth century basins and oil-jars.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE AND ITS PEOPLE - Grignano was built in the XVth century by the Marquis Gondi. In 1972 the farm was bought by Inghirami family's Mida Milano s.r.l. and has been run by Mr. Massetti since 1982.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE OWNER
Inghirami family descends from a noble family of Sansepolcro which includes amongst its members a character painted by Piero della Francesca. This wellknown family from Sansepolcro created and brought the Ingram company, which manufactures clothing, to its present world leader status, with head offices in Sansepolcro and Milan. Inghirami family is also very interested in and assiduously follows the progress of his farm.
