DESCRIPTION OF ESTATE
A cooperative company to which 260 viticulturists from the area contribute. The winery makes and sells the wine. The production structure is gathered around a large modern building containing 23 climatized vats with a capacity of 600 hl each, 8 refrigeration vats and 4 for direct sales. Outside there are eight 400 hl fermentation tanks, six 1000 hl stainless steel fermentation tanks with thermoregulation for making Chianti wine, two 300 hl tank, eight 1000 hl stainless steel tanks, two 150 hl tank, four 50 hl tank, forty barrique.

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE AND ITS PEOPLE
In 1975, some viticulturists who wanted a modern and efficient structure in which to work their grapes, established a company. The proper winery was built in 1984 with the support of the Comunità Montana Mugello-Val di Sieve and local town councils. The winery was built with modern criteria and equipment for the purpose of producing top quality wines.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE OWNER
The Chairman of VI.C.A.S., Emilio Rombenchi, was Mayor of Rùfina for 13 years. Emilio Rombenchi has been the Councillor responsible for Agriculture for the Comunità Montana. He set up the coordinating committee between local bodies and producers to establish the winemaking policy of the Sieve Valley. He direct the firm since 9 years.
