From 30 June the third edition of Jazz in Fattoria
The Valdisieve jazz festival is growing, with many concerts at sunset and tastings of wines and local products in the farms of the Chianti Rufina Consortium and in the squares
Pontassieve, 28 June 2022. Third edition for the review “Jazz in the Farm. Music and wine in Chianti Rufina“, born in Pontassieve and then grown up to embrace the whole territory of the Union of Municipalities Valdarno and Valdisieve and beyond. Under the artistic direction of Maestro Franco Baggiani, who is also its creator, the festival has made itself known for its extraordinary offer of jazz concerts at sunset in some of the most beautiful farms in the area – accompanied by tastings of wines and local products – and in some of the most significant squares of the municipalities.
“We are happy to be able to return for the third consecutive year – says the artistic director Franco Baggiani – with the Jazz Festival in Fattoria, which is truly a flagship for Valdisieve. Also this year we have built a program capable of capturing the tastes of different audiences, with internationally renowned musicians who will perform between jazz standards and the most innovative experiments. Furthermore, as every year, great attention will be given to sustainability and zero impact “.
Made by the Chianti Rufina Consortium, by the Municipal School of Music of Dicomano, Londa, Pelago, Pontassieve, Rufina, by the Union of Municipalities Valdarno and Valdisieve and by the municipalities of Pontassieve, Rufina and Dicomano, thanks also to the contribution of the Vicenza company Dal Lago TTC and BCC Pontassieve, the review will start on Thursday 30 June, hosting the concert of the Valerio Morelli Trio at Villa Poggioreale in Rufina. 11 farms are the protagonists of this edition, with as many evenings in which you can listen to jazz music at sunset, tasting wines and local products, and will also bring music to four squares, in the municipalities of Pelago, Reggello, San Godenzo and Londa where you will hold the final concert.

Even Vito Maida, mayor of Rufina who, as by now traditionally hosts the inaugural concert in the beautiful park of Villa Poggioreale and President of the Union of the Valdarno and Valdisieve municipalities, underlines the importance of the Festival for the “enhancement of a territory full of opportunities and suggestions, which is increasingly being appreciated for its beauty and typicality, both among those who know it and perhaps decide to live there, and among those who approach it as a holiday destination. Jazz in Fattoria demonstrates how important it is that institutions and companies manage to cooperate together to make it more and more attractive “.
