Valdisieve has its own festival: Jazz in Fattoria. Music and wine in Chianti Rufina
Under the artistic direction of Franco Baggiani, fourteen concerts, between farms and squares in Valdisieve, in the name of great jazz, accompanied by the tasting of the best wines and typical products of the area.
Pontassieve, 13 July 2021. After the success of last summer in Pontassieve, the review “Jazz in the Farm. Music and wine in Chianti Rufina ”, curated by Maestro Franco Baggiani, creator and artistic director of the project, who will bring the notes of jazz to some of the most beautiful farms in the area and to the squares. Created by the Chianti Rufina Consortium, by the Municipal School of Dicomano, Londa, Pelago, Pontassieve, Rufina, by the Union of Municipalities Valdarno and Valdisieve and by the municipalities of Pontassieve, Rufina and Dicomano, thanks also to the contribution of the Vicenza company Dal Lago TTC and of the BCC Pontassieve, the exhibition, which will open on Friday 16 July in the setting of Villa Poggio Reale in Rufina, will touch 10 farms this year, with as many evenings in which you can listen to jazz music at sunset, tasting wines and local products, and will bring the music also in 3 squares, among the most evocative of Valdisieve.
A festival that brings together some of the best known and most loved names in the jazz scene and which is also characterized by sustainability, as explained by the artistic director, Maestro Franco Baggiani: “La Valdisieve, for the first time, has a music festival that brings in the farms and squares of the territory great musicians who will offer concerts ranging from jazz standard to interesting experiments, with a varied offer that, I hope, will conquer the public. I am also proud to be able to say that Jazz on the farm will be a zero-impact festival: no electricity, but set at sunset or immediately after dinner, to create an evocative atmosphere and not affect the environment “.
“I am happy that from an initiative born last year with Maestro Baggiani and the Municipality of Pontassieve, post pandemic to give new impetus to the hospitality of the territory, a real Festival dedicated to Wine and Music was born this year, result of the collaboration of the wineries of Chianti Rufina and all local institutions. ” – so the president of the Chianti Rufina Consortium, Cesare Coda Nunziante, who continues – “We will work to make this event more important every year.”
