This year, the estate entered two wines into the Decanter World Wine Awards 2026—the Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG Terraelectae “Poggio Diamante 2022” and the Rosso Toscana IGT “Mazzaferrata 2020″—with both earning a prestigious Silver Medal.
Poggio Diamante 2022 reveals an intense, brilliant ruby-red color with subtle violet hues. The nose opens with a striking aromatic profile of fruity and floral notes, including rose, macerated wild berries (cherry and currant), and orange peel. Sweet spices such as vanilla emerge, leading to deeper undertones of leather, dark chocolate, and tobacco.
On the palate, these aromas are beautifully mirrored, framed by a vibrant citrus freshness—recalling Tarocco blood orange and redcurrant—before concluding with subtle hints of licorice. An elegant wine of distinct character, featuring silky, well-integrated tannins.
