ART.1 – DESIGNATION AND WINES
The “Chianti” Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin classification is reserved for “Chianti” wines, which were already recognised as controlled designation of origin by decree of the President of the Republic of 9 August 1967, that meet the conditions and requirements established by the current production regulations for the following types: «Chianti» and «Chianti Superiore», and the following sub-regions: «Chianti Colli Aretini», «Chianti Colli Fiorentini», «Chianti Colli Senesi», «Chianti Colline Pisane», «Chianti Montalbano», «Chianti Montespertoli» and «Chianti Rufina».
